Brave Little Belgium is a content platform curated by Creative Belgium.
We look at Belgium's top work from an international perspective.
'Why is it brave and typically Belgian?'

our mission statement

100 years ago, they called us brave little belgium.
Or 'these little fuckers.' We had our own ideas.
When they asked us to step in line, we peed on their shoes.
Dangerous. But brave.
That typifies us, Belgians.
So let's be proud of our brave ideas. And show them.
By gathering the best work from hellhole and beyond,
we make the rest pee their pants again.
Because the little fuckers are back.
#BraveLittleBelgium.

When a country and its people become ‘unavailable’

Video NL

Louise Cornet, Creative at BBDO: Before the war in Ukraine started, many productions and music videos were shot in the country. Of course, today this would no longer be possible, as many places have been damaged by the conflict. And if we do nothing, millions of victims and dozens of infrastructures are at risk of disappearing. With this in mind, and in collaboration with Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen and Croix-Rouge de Belgique, we decided to remove Ukraine from the music videos that were shot there. We worked with many artists such as Ed Sheeran, Editors, Tame Impala, George Ezra, Years & Years, Twenty One Pilots, Rudimental and Romeo Elvis to transform their music videos and put the victims of the conflict back in the spotlight. After a year of war, the most important thing for us was to make sure that the victims were not forgotten.
