The Race
The Race was a special project for Klankwerk because they took a highly conceptual approach to the soundtrack.
The entire sonic world was built from recordings of saxophone player Bram Coumans. By pushing, reshaping and transforming the source material with the granular engine, they created a wide range of sounds, from risers to more experimental textures where the original recording sometimes became almost unrecognizable, while still retaining the timbre, emotion and soul of the sax. The result was a distinctive and original soundtrack that felt deeply connected to both the visuals and the performance at its core.
