Brave Little Belgium is a content platform curated by Creative Belgium.
We look at Belgium's top work from an international perspective.
'Why is it brave and typically Belgian?'

our mission statement

100 years ago, they called us brave little belgium.
Or 'these little fuckers.' We had our own ideas.
When they asked us to step in line, we peed on their shoes.
Dangerous. But brave.
That typifies us, Belgians.
So let's be proud of our brave ideas. And show them.
By gathering the best work from hellhole and beyond,
we make the rest pee their pants again.
Because the little fuckers are back.
#BraveLittleBelgium.

RSCA Shirt Release SS25/26

Vanessa Hendrickx, Senior Art Director at AKQA Brussels, President of the Craft jury for the Creative Belgium Awards 2026: This campaign does more than create the look of a football club, it creates a cultural work that extends far beyond the world of sport. There is a genuine artistic vision and a distinctive sense of originality in every execution. From the jersey designs to the music and the visual universe, every element comes together to celebrate the club’s history while reimagining it for a new audience. And when you see the result, you can’t help but become a fan,  even if you’re not much of a football fan to begin with.”

The RSCA campaign is a clear example of music as the core creative idea. Built on the iconic 1985 anthem by Grand Jojo, the campaign celebrates 40 years of club legacy by transforming a cultural classic into a contemporary RSCA anthem. The track was remixed which resulted in a more modern sound and production. But faithful to its emotional and original roots. Bridging generations of fans. A music video was created around this new version, which became the campaign’s central asset and was used consistently across all touchpoints. By reinterpreting a beloved anthem, RSCA strengthens its connection to the city and its culture while expanding its audience through a powerful and modern sound and use of music. This campaign demonstrates outstanding craft in the use of music, where heritage and innovation meet to create a unifying, culturally resonant experience
