Eight years ago, VML Belgium came knocking on Child Focus’ door. As an agency, sure, but especially as parents themselves. Since then, they’ve been helping families during their worst nightmares.

‘Child Focus is not a client like any other. ‘Also, our relationship is built on trust. It helps that we do more than the campaigns on lost children or child abuse, but also work at less-visible things: re-making websites, taking care of back-end stuff… And the people at Child Focus are a big factor. They don’t lose themselves in micromanagement, which is pretty rare for a client (laughs). These people believe in creativity as a force for change.’

‘For a client like Child Focus, the emotional pay-out of the results is extraordinary. When a child disappears, it’s vital that his or her image be spread as quickly as possible. A few years ago, that was the central point of a campaign. Shortly after that campaign, a missing child was found thanks to that speed of action. That’s when you know why you’re doing what you’re doing.’
